Rome study abroad

Dear Dublin and Rome students,

Here’s the link for the FEA scholarship. The deadline arrives quite early, January 18 at 9am (12pm EST), so be sure to get started on this asap. You’ll also need a letter of recommendation from a faculty members. Request this soon as well.

Application link: http://fundforeducationabroad.org/apply/

-You can also start to look into the Gilman Scholarship here but this deadline is not until March. The Gilman is only for Pell Grant eligible students.

-Click here for a long list of assorted scholarships. Some links may be dead and/or deadlines are not accurate. You’ll need to Google and research these for up-to-date information.

-Click here for a Gilman essay writing guide. This format is also useful for other scholarships although you’ll have to adapt it a bit.

FEA Info:

The mission of the Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) is to provide scholarships and ongoing support to students who are underrepresented among the U.S. study abroad population.

FEA awards up to $5,000 for a fall or spring semester abroad, with a minimum of $1,000 for short-term programs.

While we encourage all students to apply for an FEA scholarship, preference is given to students of color, first-generation college students, community college students, and students with high financial need.
